“The internet ruined everything”

How many times have you heard someone say that?

It seems that no matter what you’re talking about, people complain about how the internet has ruined it.

This got me wondering: Is it really that bad? Is there any substance here or are people just hyperbolising for effect – as is often the way online (and off).

So I started looking into some of these claims, and the more I found, the more I realised that no matter what they are, the reality is full of nuance.

This show is my attempt to cut through the noise, examine the evidence for and against, and look at all perspectives – hopefully finding the true casualties of the web, and those we're just looking at wrong.

With a mix of scepticism and curiosity, I want to move beyond the easy 'blame game' and hopefully provide some new perspectives on our often-anxious relationships with the internet in all its forms.
