Like so many people, I've spent countless hours online - for work, for fun, for learning, and for just scrolling. Growing up before widespread internet access, I’ve seen and experienced the transition from nothing, to the absolute saturation of today.
I became fascinated by how readily we blame this unbelievably transformative technology for its ruinous effect. With a mix of scepticism and curiosity, I wanted to move beyond the easy 'blame game' and look at all the evidence – for better or worse.
My goal with Ruined By The Internet? is simply to put these claims to the test through nuanced discussion and critical thinking, and hopefully provide some new perspectives on our often-anxious relationships with the digital world.
